Pansy (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) is a woman haunted by fear, tormented by grief, and prone to lashing out at her husband, her son, and anyone who looks in her direction. Meanwhile, her quiet younger sister (Michelle Austen) is a single mother with a life as different from Pansy’s as their conflicting temperaments—and yet full of common emotions.
